This is so whack....

The left calls the President a liar based on things he never actually said. Yet whenever John Kerry actually lies, repeatedly, they say it's not what he really meant. It's the media's job to call Kerry on crap like this, but they won't. Can we elect new media? Please?

Complaining that politicians are telling lies is like complaining that fish are wet.

[casts vote for Susie for "Queen of the New Media"]

I was thinking more like: "Supreme Media Goddess", but if you wanna sell her short, I guess that's your business. ;^)

You toadies. Susie's okay, but that's as far as it goes. Oh, hi Susie. Ow.

Unbelievable! Whenever I've visited your shores I can't believe the sheer extent of the media's pro-Bush bias. Over here (the UK), newsreaders have to be neutral or they get fined. Your media, on the other hand, runs on a permanent diet of 'God Bless America, God Bless our President and God Bless our Troops'. I've never seen Bush criticised for a thing on TV - unsurprisingly, as anyone who dared would probably be branded UnAmerican and boycotted for daring to exercise their right to free speech...

What surprises me about the U.S. media (and also the electorate) is that they appear to have some measure of respect for the candidates, whereas here in the U.K. we recognise that politicians, particularly those seeking the highest office, are in fact vermin who should be hunted down, captured, tortured and then killed. If they have reproduced then their entire families should be sterilised. (Don't try and tell me that the Conservative Shadow Cabinet don't fall into the category of "sexually transmitted diseases".)

Anyway, it may seem ludicrous that the only candidates for the job of Most Powerful Man in the World are a half-witted monkey and an empty suit, and laughable that the people entrusted with choosing between them are Americans, for fuck's sake, but that's, as they say, life. Hey ho.

(I've enjoyed this ranting so much I think I'll put it in my blog. Thanks for having me.)

David--LOL!!!!

Andy--What planet are you from? Or maybe our news is too nuanced for you...

Harv, Johnny...big wet kisses for you two!

[blink]

Did anyone understand either of those last two comments?

And by the way, gentlemen, no F-bombing in the comments. This is a lady's house. Can't you tell by all the pink?

Sheesh! Some people's children.

Hello? it seems she has enough on her plate already tryin' to run a theater with a staff full of pimply-faced boys with their heads somewhere else. Of course, if it was a high-payin' proposition, I suppose Susie would gladly tell them to find another extremely qualified person in possession of a most lovely and beautiful face capable of wranglin' with those hormone-filled boys and whippin' them into shape.

What was hard to understand about "the last two comments", unless it was the strangely urbane and somehow un-American accent in which they were delivered?

Harvey, my man, I have to question the selective morality of a man (and I have to take it on trust that you are a man)who would seem to be an enthusiastic supporter of all that is repugnant while remaining uncomfortable with the "f-word".

Neverless, I apologise to the lady. I should have said "for Fox sake".

Now I have beer. She is a harsh mistress.

David - Probably the accent :-)

And yes, I'm a filthy disgusting person, but that's at my blog. Susie's blog isn't an f-bombing place, so I try to tone it down to "merely suggestive" while I'm here :-)
