And that's not including the insurance and plates....

My siblings keep harrassing me to buy a new car. They tell me I can get one for "only" $10,000 or lease one for "only" $150/month. The only way I could afford a new car is if I quit smoking. Unfortunately, that's my only vice, and I don't want a new car enough to become a paragon of virtue. Virtue is so boring....

So? You just HAVE to have a vice? Even if it kills you?

Just askin.

If you have 'em, like that last commenters said, there's some blue gunk at the drug store that'll get rid of those lice, not that I ever had the need to use such product, ya see. ;)

I only like the chicken fried vice I get at the Chinese restaurant down the street.

Meanwhile, helpful hints on buying a used car:

I'm now driving a like-new Ford Taurus, rented for me by my current employer. No way is it twanty times better than the $600 beater I would otherwise drive. Its major value is that the air conditioning works, which is nice considering I have to park and do stuff for twenty minutes at a time several times a day. I could fix the air in my car for still far less than the price of a new car.
