Your opinion, please...

Any one seen "Sin City"? Is it worth four bucks to rent?

It's not for the faint of heart. Many body parts are forcibly removed from people. That being said it's visually stunning, has sonme fascinating character development and reinvents Film Noir. Even if you don't like comics, it's much better than the usual Hollywood fare.

Suzie, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. That being said, it's also one of the filthiest. I would never take a girl to see it, but if you have the stomach for excessive violence, go for it.

I reviewed it here:

And despite what you would think from a movie about prostitutes called 'sin city', there is surprisingly little nudity or sex. Scantily clad females galore, though.

I just got done watching it, and I must say that they absolutely matched the film to the graphic novels. The imagery is both stunning and stylized, and the plots (It's a series of vignettes) are gripping (especially if you like film noir). I highly recommend it.

I was quite pleasantly surprised by this movie. I'm buying it this week.

It's filthy and full of over the top violence.

What's not to love?!?! :)

I loved it, too, but the wife hated it. It's totally over the top and that's probably what I loved about it. I'm hard on noir. If it's great, I love it. If it's less than great, I don't think much of it.
