I need news

One of my aunts and her family live near Biloxi. I know New Orleans is a bigger city, and therefore a bigger news story, but I'd like some news on how Mississippi fared. Anyone know any Mississippi bloggers who might have the scoop on Gautier or Pascagoula?

UPDATE: I finally found some video on the Mississippi coast. Judging by the pictures, there's a good chance that my aunt, uncle and cousins are homeless. Right now, that's about all I know.

Just wanted to say I'm wishing her the best. Keep us updated.

She's not blogging from Mississippi, but Michelle Malkin is doing about the best live-blogging about Katrina I've seen yet. New posts about every hour, and all of them full of links to various news outlets.

This comment is cross-posted at Harvey's place, just to be sure you get it. Whoever it is in Mississippi you are concerned for, I'll be praying for them.

I left my comment over at Harv's. Sorry. :(

I have a friend whose family lives in Pascagoula. They lost everything. Nothing is left... not a stick of furniture, not a scrap of clothing, not a slab. All of it gone. 4 homes total... completely sucked away.

Pascagoula is a mess.

New Orleans was spared the direct hit but is underwater. Mississippi took the hit and it's bad. At Gulfport, the tidal surge was over 20 feet and reached six miles inland.

Hang in there Sweetie, we may not hear any specific news for a week or more.
