Crack open the champagne!
After four visits to their office, one successful (and countless fruitless) phone call, two faxes and four emails over the course of almost seven weeks, my unemployment is finally going to come through! Whoo hoo! Of course, it's going to take ten business days for any of that money to get to me, but at least there's now a spark of hope that I can keep my car and stay out of debtor's prison.
Life is good.
Maybe now that there's no hurry anymore I can find a new job...

Praise be! Well done to you, now I shall keep praying for a really good job offer for you. All economies need people like you - tenacious, hardworking and determined to make your own way in this world. Well done.
I haven't checked in in a while, but dang. What a tale. That had to be nerve wracking for the last couple of months.
Here's hoping you find a good job soon.
Excellent news, Susie. I look forward to you regaling us with tales of the morons at your new place of employment. It'll be tough to top some of the movie theater stories, but I have faith in my fellow man's ability to sink to the occasion.
Congrats again on the job.
